We Now Have Reference Rates
All this time, translation rates is not uniform. Each translator apply different rates. Whereas, interpreter, especially the members of the professional organization, should have a specific tariff mold. The difference in rates was causing the client can offer a very low price to the detriment of the translator.

Translation Center Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia (PPFIBUI) working with HPI to formulate reference translation service rates. The reference is not a standard minimum rates, but can be used translators to address client. With the reference tariff, translators will have a high bargaining power. Reference rate translation service that can be requested at the Secretariat HPI.

TRANSLATION SERVICES REFERENCE RATES

Translation Center Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia (FIB UI) and the Association of Indonesian Translators (HPI) convey the following reference translation rates:

A. Written translation

From Indonesian into foreign languages

With a record:

1. Determination of the rate calculated for each 1500 character (letter, number, punctuation mark, space) the translation.

2. Translation of rates determined by agreement between the translator and the assignor.

B. Oral translation

1. Rates consecutive interpreter Rp250.000 per hour, minimum of two hours or one business day Rp2.000.000 (eight hours) per person.

2. Simultaneous interpreter service rates Rp500.000 per hour, minimum of two hours or one business day Rp4.000.000 (eight hours) a person who works in a team of two members..
C. Translating Film

Translation service rates are calculated according to the duration movie, namely Rp2.000.000,- for films with a duration of 90-120 minutes. Translation service rates movies that lasts less than 90 minutes or more than 120 min calculated proportionally.
