Middle English & Kuno

Middle English is the kind of English spoken after the attack on the Norman 1066 until the mid / late 1400s. Derived from the Old English after William I came to England with the nobility and the French-language prevents it taught in schools for hundreds of years. For some time, English borrowed a few words in French.

In the 1470's, Chancery Standard, kind of English spoken in London, began more common. Partly this is because William Caxton brought the printing press to England in the 1470's. Old English (Anglo-Saxon or Englisc) is an early form of the English language used in England and southern Scotland between the mid-century 5 until the 8th century. West Germanic language and is very close to old Frisian and old Saxon and also got a very strong influence of old Norse, part of the North Germanic language group.

Old English is very different from modern English; has many Germanic words, and grammatical closer to German and Latin. Old English gradually changed into Middle English after the Normans invaded and stop it taught in schools during 300 year.
